Okay, this is where we get to the picture-postcard-perfect section of this online photo album.  Here we have the beach of Blue Lagoon Island, as seen from either side of the Calypso as we docked...

Lauren and I didn't spend much time on the main beach at first, since it was almost immediately time to walk over to Stingray City for our snorkeling session (which was unfortunately unrecorded, due to our lack of a waterproof camera).  Suffice it to say, we splashed around and got saltwater in our mouths due to the oversized snorkel mouthpieces and petted rays and managed to avoid receiving any of the "stingray hickeys" the divers kept warning us of.  And on the way back to the main beach, we were walking through scenes like *this*...

And *this*...

Doesn't it do your heart good to know that places like this actually *exist*, and aren't just made up by artists or photo retouchers...?

Theoretically I could have been cropping the above photos, trimming out some of the "excess space" -- but I really think there needs to be as much of that tropical blue displayed as possible...

And of course we had to take turns doing our bathing beauty poses...

Ack, saltwater and a facemask strap do *not* improve the look of a French braid...
