The above are photos of Trafalgar Square, taken the Friday I arrived.
<-- These are a couple of pictures of the Sherlock Holmes statue
in front of the Baker Street tube station (note the Underground sign in the
CJ and I spent an afternoon wandering around the British Museum. The
above is the hall of Egyptian and Assyrian artifacts -- the Rosetta Stone
is the fourth picture, one of the sphynxes in the seventh picture has five
legs, and in the last picture CJ is doing a Stargate riff pointing at the
hieroglyphs on the pillar.
Still in the British Museum -- note the crocodile-skin armor (from Roman-occupied
Egypt) in the second picture, a bit of weaponry, and the outside of the Museum
<-- Anti-Bush , anti-Blair and anti-war graffiti on a wall
surrounding Green Park, and a view through Green Park itself while walking
towards Buckingham Palace.
Scads of photos of the outside of Buckingham Palace and the changing of the
guard at same -- taken through hordes of tourists. Got to see a bit
around the edges, though.
